Prof. Eng. Ennio Cortellini
Ennio Cortellini is a structural civil engineer specializing in complex and high-risk structures.
His field of expertise is safety engineering, particularly nuclear structural safety.
He was director, member of the scientific council, and professor of risk analysis and nuclear safety at the International Center for Risk Analysis in Engineering (an inter-university center between La Sapienza University and IASI University, created with European funds).
He has taught at 5 European universities at 6 faculties, 6 PhD programs, a graduate school and 4 master's programs.
He has received the following important international academic and university awards:
- Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts with a degree awarded by the President of the Republic of Austria;
- Membro della New York Academy of Sciences - USA;
- Honorary Member of the Academic Senate "A.Gh. Asachi" of the Polytechnic University of Iasi; Honorary Professor of the Polytechnic University "A.Gh. Asachi" of Iasi; Honorary Professor with Distinction of the PA University of Iasi;
- Honorary Professor of the Faculty of Control and Computer Engineering - ”A.Gh. Asachi" of the Polytechnic University of Iasi;
- Honorary Member of the Romanian Society of Fuzzy Systems.
He has been the scientific coordinator of two international research groups, director of the Master of Science in Risk Engineering, and director of the Executive Master in Probabilistic Mechanics for Hazardous Technologies.
He is a member of 10 international scientific societies and 20 international scientific councils. He is the author of books published by major national publishers and scientific articles published in international journals and the journals of prestigious European academies of sciences.
He designed structures and mechanical components, wrote technical reports, and conducted testing in the nuclear, mechanical, plant engineering, structural, and hydroelectric sectors. During his professional career as an engineer, he developed 638 projects.
In particular, he was a designer for nuclear decommissioning as part of the Italian nuclear power plant decommissioning program.
In the field of management, he obtained the CMC (Certified Management Consultant) certification from the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes of New York (ICMCI).
